Preface to the story:
My driver's side window doesn't roll down. It's been that way for a while. Like everything else, it takes time for Ryan to fix things. Unfortunately, his list is getting too long. We have the motor to fix the window, but Ryan's time is so limited in the summer.
With the window not working, Ryan disconnected the power to the window which also controls the power-lock to all the doors. Thus, we never lock the door manually unless we feel necessary. During the day, locking the doors is not necessary.
With that, there have been a few times that Trevor has gotten into the car. Not really to play, but do get my gum and change that I stash. One day last week he was in the car. I caught him and told him to get out. While getting out, I thought, "it looks like he turned the lights on. Let me get him inside and playing with something, and then I'll go out and check." As soon as that thought came, it left (Short term memory is trying to reboot since schools been out). I got dressed for work, Ryan came home, and I left in the truck.
At 11:30 p.m. that night as I pulled in the driveway, I thought, "Oh no, I never checked the car. I know it's dead!" Sure enough it was.
Ryan jump started it the other day, and it has ran okay the last few days. As I went out tonight, to try our sweet Betsy, she finally gave up. She couldn't hold on anymore.
While she rest tonight awaiting a new battery, I am envious. I too, wish at times, to just rest a few days from our curious little boy.

Come to Ft. Wayne and you can "rest a day" and I will play with Trevor!
