I too, laugh at the school corporation's reasons for delays. Look, I'm willing to make the sacrifice to even DRIVE my daughter the five minutes it takes any one of us parents to get them to school on time. Our town consists of 18,000 people and we have FIVE elementary schools, which means many live withing a five minute walking or a five minute drive to their elementary school. We love our children dearly, and don't want them to suffer, but what ever happened to "character building" school stories. You know the ones I'm talking about, "I walked up hill five miles to get to school...." What will my daughter tell her daughter about her school days? She won't have any. She doesn't even have to walk to a bus stop; they pick her up and drop her off in front of the house. She can't even say she had to walk and wait for the bus in the cold.
So, while I'm staying up late because we all get to sleep in tomorrow, I thought I would make a collage of some of our summer pictures. I love the summer! I really could care less about snow and freezing temperatures. I long for the hot summer days! Doesn't it look so much more fun; better than hearing the furnace kick on every 5 minutes!

Wow, you are up late! I have to agree with you-the delay is a bit weird, but then again we live somewhere where we had about two feet of snow in a matter of days and not one day off school or a late day. I could never figure out the snow day thing in Cincy either; canceling school for what looked like a trace of snow to me. Well, have fun sleeping in. Those kids sure are cute!
