Happy 6th Birthday, Kayla

What a celebration today!
I always like taking the time to make their birthdays special. My mom did for us, and I feel it's important for them to realize that our lives are blessed because they are apart of our family.
We chose a Scooby Doo theme and we went to work on decorations. We made a mystery machine, Shaggy & Scooby, and then just one of Scooby.

She invited some of her friends from school and church. They enjoyed pizza and games and when it came time to open presents, the kids realized that they were "missing." So the kids went and searched for clues to find out who was behind the mystery. It took both Ryan and I to pull this off, so we have no pics of the kids.
When the kids ended with the last clue, Ryan was in the truck as a ghost with the presents. The kids pulled off the sheet, and Ryan ended the mystery with the famous line, "I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for you meddling kids.
I think the kids truly enjoyed themselves and Kayla's sheer excitement was worth all the work we put into this.
Our lives are blessed because she is apart of this family. As I was going to class this morning, I had a few minutes to reflect on the day she was born. I was so glad to not to be pregnant anymore, and excited to finally meet this little girl. She already has so many wonderful qualities about her at such a young age. She is thoughtful, kind, obedient, LOVES LOVES LOVES people and EVERYONE is her friend! She teaches me so much!

What a fun party! You are so creative. I can't believe she's six already. It seems like yesterday that we did one last activity, I told you I didn't think you'd make it to your due date and you called the next day that your water had broken, crazy! She is such a darling girl.
