His & Hers Anniversary

Sunday was our anniversary. I can't believe it's been 7 years and where has the time gone. We've definitely been adventurous over the last 7 years and I'm not sure I want to count how many times we've moved. On Saturday, Ryan brought me 7 yellow roses along with my diet coke to work. I in returned presented him with my version of a bouquet. I think the kids preferred my present to Ryan more than the flowers.
So I thought it would be fun to re-cap the years:
2001: Married and moved to Cincinnati just 2 weeks after we were married. Ryan started work at one landscaping co., but realized their ethics were different. He was hired that fall at Wimberg and was able to really apply his design skills. I worked at a GED center for kids that had been expelled for Cincinnati public schools. I realized that year that teaching was not what I wanted to do with my life.
2002: Kayla was born this year. We moved again to Delhi apartments in hopes of more space.
2003: We bought our house on Carpenter Dr (yet another move). Although it was small, we loved being there. We were surrounded by such great people! We will forever cherish the time there.
2004: After taking time off from work with Kayla, I went to work at Cincinnati Children's hospital where I discovered the I LOVE the medical field. Trevor joined our family at the end of this year. The pregnancy came with many challenges and we were never so happy to see him.
2005: We were enjoying our home; doing misc projects. I felt this need to change paint colors in the house way too many times. We continued to enjoy our children, friends, & callings.
2006: This year was a little (no not just a little; a lot) hard for me. Ryan's division was closed at work, so we needed to find a new job. I figured I would live the rest of my life in Cincinnati, but that would not be the case. We said good-bye to lots of great friends and headed on to a new adventure in Vincennes. So, once again we moved!
2007: We realized why we had to move to Vincennes. Ryan was called to be the Bishop just 9 months after we moved here. I can look back now with less of a heavy heart knowing that we need to be here; not just for the people here but for us as well.
2008: So, here we are now. Seven years later with two kids and a mortgage, plugging away at life. I feel blessed to have such a great family. I feel blessed to have a husband that loves the Lord and his family. So, to you Ryan thank you. Thanks for seeing past all my imperfections, my moodiness, my desire for perfect paint colors and loving me for who I am. I look forward to continuing on this great adventure.

Congrats on 7! We miss having you so close (even though I'm still awful at keeping in touch with you), yet we also see that you are to be in Vincennes. We hope that things are going well for you. How is work along with your home renovations?
