Clints House

This past weekend the kids and I went to Woodburn to help out my brother Clint. On Friday morning, Trevor and I went to the nursery to scout out possible plants for Uncle Clint's yard. On out way, Trevor learned how to identify four trees. Our friends at Beverly Nurserys think he going to be a nurseryman like his father. We picked up enough plants for his entire front and side yard, as well as a small space on the other side of the yard. It doesn't look like much now, but next year it will be incredible. A lot of fun was had by all. What a fun filled weekend: family projects, grandparents, great-grandparents, and so many other things as well. We had fun guys. Thanks for putting up with us!!!

Fun with Grandma Barb

The kids went to Fort Wayne this past weekend with Ryan ( I had to work). That means, I got a break! I seemed to have a lot of those this summer. I'm being spoiled. I can't say that I accomplished much. I did figure out that I don't like being by myself at night. I guess I've watched too much CSI, Criminal Minds, & all those other shows that are freaky.

My mom took the kids to the zoo and this is how they came out. Anyone who knows Trevor, knows that he is a little compulsive about cleanliness and how things feel on his skin. So, for him to get his face painted was a BIG deal. Of coarse, by the time they got out to the car he was finished and wanted my mom to TAKE IT OFF!

When they came home last night we were looking at pictures of the zoo trip and he said to me, "I didn't like that lady (the one who painted his face)." I just laughed because I know how the boy is.

Back to school

It's time! Yes, I know this is attempt # 4 to go back to school and my 3rd change in a major, but it's time now to complete this goal. Out of all the universities that I have attended this one has been the most difficult to complete. So much red tape for such a small university! Although the process has been frustrating, I am excited to finish what I started fifteen years ago!

Weekend of Fun

It's always nice when the holiday falls on a Friday! We started our celebration with going out for breakfast. It's always a treat when we get to spend time together. Trevor thought it would be fun to call his grandpa (Denny) while eating at Denny's! He's just figured out that we all have names. He loves calling up his grandpa and asking for him by name. While on the phone with him that morning, he said, "So Dennis, are you having a good morning?"

That afternoon we went to go see Wall-e. The kids enjoyed the show and dad put way too much butter on the popcorn! We finished the evening at the Chartier's with great food and fireworks. In the following pictures you can see the kids are on their deck. The deck overlooks their backyard and is approximately 1 1/2 stories high. While the adults were finishing up dinner, the kids were outside playing. At one point I looked outside to see Trevor sliding through the slats of their deck. All I could say was, "OH NO!", and I took off running. The adults in the room tried to figure out what I was freaking out about; one other mom could see the same thing I could and came running with me. I caught Trevor in time and asked him what in the world he thought he was doing. He then said to me, "MOM, I would have landed on my feet!"
Heaven help this boy! He thinks he has nine lives.

We finished our fun weekend on Saturday with the Klein's and the Howell's. The kids all had so much fun being together, except at the end when Mike and I started a water fight that didn't end so well. Hopefully Adam is not plotting anything too revengeful.

We hope you all enjoyed your three day weekend as much as we did! Happy late fourth of July!

I Love This Picture

I love to take pictures with my new camera. On our recent trip to Fort Wayne I took this picture of my lovely wife. I think it is one of the best pictures I've ever taken of her. She's my love and I have the opportunity to gaze into her big brown eyes for an eternity. Love Ya Dear!!!
